Do you have what it takes to be the business litigation attorney our firm needsDo you have a tremendous set of legal skills that dont get recognized at your current job but you know would shine with the right opportunityAre you a Florida Bar member in good standing with at least five years of experience in litigation involving businesses or business issuesEver tried a case Do you really understand the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure


How about the Federal Rules of Civil ProcedureDo you have experience working with and leading other attorneysCan you supervise attorneys and staff members to make cases run wellCan you get on board with our mission of making South Florida a place where businesses can thrive


If the answers are yes then you might be a good fit for our growing small firm.

But of course theres associate we are looking for will be responsible for important work not just discreet assignments from someone else that lack envision an environment in which the associate will:


  • Work directly and regularly with the owner and staff to manage as well as work on the firms caseload;
  • Execute and supervise the timely of casespecific work like pleading and motion drafting discovery depositions mediation hearings and yes even trials;
  • Supervising the legal production team in their handling of cases;
  • Making and carrying out the tactical and strategic decisions about cases and their progress; and
  • Making sure the client stays up to date on the case developments.


So now that weve told you about the functions how about personalityWe want more than a soulless automaton who sits at a desk and mindlessly works want people with real personalities and empathy who understand that clients are people with problems issues and stress and have hired us to help our ideal associate:


  • Conveys confidence in person and on the phone;
  • Shows empathy to clients and puts them at ease during their difficult times;
  • Treats a call at 4:30 on Friday with the same care and compassion as one on Monday morning;
  • Demonstrates exceptional communication and writing skills;
  • Demonstrates clear thinking under pressure; and
  • Has excellent strategic and tactical thinking and is willing to dig in to make the right calls in handling the case.


Lastly there is some boilerplate that we think you need to associate should be:

  • Proficient in the suite of Microsoft Office programs Word and Outlook mostly but Excel and PowerPoint are strong pluses.
  • Proficient in Westlaw research. Its what we use.
  • Proficient in Adobe dont print so we dont do printers or paper files.

We need a senior associate with experience in contract disputes and business torts. The ideal candidate will be able to take initiative on work that needs to be done and complete tasks with minimal handholding.

Salary is commensurate with skill and experience and is this is currently a parttime job you will be expected to manage a caseload and absolutely must be able to selfregulate in order to work virtually for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
