Job Description:
The Lead HR Business Partner is a strategic role designed to drive HR initiatives enhance operational effectiveness and deliver impactful HR solutions across aligned functions for the Maritime sector. This position works closely with leadership and staff to define and execute HR strategies to enable accomplishment of business objectives. This position will be tasked with leading and executing HR special projects; implementing process improvements; maximizing aligned HR team effectiveness and assisting HRBPs and the functions to achieve business objectives. This individual will also serve as the HRBP for assigned function(s).
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute functionwide HR special projects including project planning change management communication and delivering sustainable outcomes.
- Implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the functional HR team in alignment with organizational priorities.
- Provide consultative support to HR workstreams ensuring they effectively meet the needs of HR and employees.
- Analyze HR data and insights to identify opportunities for improvement set strategic priorities and inform decisionmaking.
- Gather analyze and leverage insights from the segment HR teams and other stakeholder groups to identify opportunity and priority areas. Consult and collaborate with segment HR COE workstreams as well as HR matrix partners to achieve priorities.
- Foster a culture of excellence within the HR team collaborating with leadership to develop skills and operational efficiencies.
- Partner with key stakeholders to align HR strategies with business objectives; develop and deploy solutions to business challenges.
- Introduce lead and influence organizational change initiatives.
- Serve as a liaison between segment HR COEs Talent Acquisition HRBPs and Corporate HR teams to promote best practices and share feedback on initiatives supporting business needs.
- Collaborate with COEs to develop facilitate and implement programs and solutions that support the strategic goals of the company.
- Act as the functional owner for segmentwide HR programs and initiatives driving awareness and successful implementation within the segment.
- Own and optimize communication and collaboration strategies for the HR function managing engineering and core functions HR SharePoint sites Microsoft Teams groups and related training materials.
- Oversee engineering leadership placement processes and support compensationrelated activities including promotion and hiring processes for the engineering function.
- Play a significant role in administering talent management and succession planning activity within client organization.
- Support HR Leadership as project manager including presentation development and team engagement.
- Requires expert level knowledge of job area. Viewed as an expert and/or resource within the field by peers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 9years of relevant experience or Graduate Degree with at least 7 years of related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in projectmanagement with knowledge of change management methodologies.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Broad knowledge of human resources functions including compensation; leadership development; engagement; people analytics; HR operations; and talent acquisition
- Experience in both HR specialist and generalist roles.
- Strong interpersonal communication writing proofreading and organizational skills.
- Must be detailoriented and possess good followthrough.
- Demonstrated ability to perform work of a confidential or sensitive nature.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and PowerBI.
- Experience designing managing or editing SharePointpages Microsoft Teams groups or other collaboration tools.
