Position Overview:
  • Deliver speech therapy services utilizing evidencebased practices aligned with the goals outlined in students IEPs.
  • Perform initial screenings and comprehensive evaluations to assess students speech and language abilities determining the need for therapy services or recommending discontinuation when appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with district requirements and ASHA s code of ethics by maintaining accurate and thorough documentation including daily session notes monthly progress summaries and annual IEP reports.
  • Collaborate in the IEP process by contributing to the development of present performance levels setting measurable goals and objectives and providing informed treatment recommendations for students receiving speech therapy services.

Requirements

A Master s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program. Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement. Current state licensures or certification as a SpeechLanguage Pathologist in Georgia. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working in a school setting is preferred. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong knowledge of speech and language development and disorders.
