Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules for irrigation systems.
- Monitor and manage water usage to ensure sustainability and efficiency.
- Oversee the installation repair and maintenance of irrigation equipment.
- Coordinate with landscape architects and other stakeholders to ensure optimal irrigation practices.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of irrigation systems.
- Manage a team of technicians and support staff.
- Prepare and manage budgets for irrigation operations and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Provide technical support and training to staff.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelors degree (BSc) in a relevant field (e.g. Agricultural Engineering Horticulture) from a recognized university with over 7 years of experience in irrigation management.
- OR
- Masters degree (MSc) in a relevant field from a recognized university with over 3 years of experience in irrigation management.
- Experience:
- Extensive experience in the maintenance management of irrigation systems serving landscaped areas including lawns trees shrubs and groundcovers in sizeable sites.
- Strong technical knowledge of irrigation systems.
- Proven experience in managing largescale irrigation projects.
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems water management and sustainable practices.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with the latest irrigation technologies and practices.
- Experience in the Middle East region particularly in large urban projects.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
