Job Description
Overview:
Schedule: Weekday shifts 4p12:30a every 4th weekend shift will be 7p7:30a holiday rotation commitment 20 hours per week

Essential Functions:
- Coordinates the process of admitting discharging and transferring patients ensuring adherence to hospital guidelines and protocols.
- Acts as a liaison between various healthcare providers including medical staff patient care services and external providers to ensure seamless patient care and appropriate placement.
- Manages the Primary Care Phone Triage Line assessing the urgency of medical concerns and determining the appropriate level of care and response needed.
- Facilitates pediatric specialist consultations including telemedicine consults.
- Participates in professional development and quality improvement projects to maintain and enhance professional standards.
- Ensures accurate documentation for patient admissions transfers and consultations and communicates pertinent information to relevant personnel.
Education Requirement:
Bachelors Degree in Nursing from and approved school of nursing required.
Licensure Requirement:
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
Certifications:
- Current CPR certification required.
- Must be willing to obtain and maintain NRP PALS ACLS APHON or other necessary certification as determined by your manager based on business unit.
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective computer or main frame systems skills.
- Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills.
Experience:
- Three years of clinical experience required.
- Pediatric clinical experience required.
