Job Description

Introduction

PRESS Forward is a specially funded initiative under the Office of Violence Prevention that is designed to reduce gun violence and victimization in the City of New Haven. PRESS Forward achieves this by coalitionbuilding and intentional collaboration between relevant agencies targeting the highestrisk individuals with hyperfocused social service intervention supporting the social networks of highrisk individuals and enhancing workforce training and placement opportunities for this group.

Under the direction of the Coordinator of the Office of Violence Prevention and other relevant staff in the Department of Community Resilience the Program Coordinator is responsible for the daytoday implementation and management of the PRESS Forward initiative. All work will be done in coordination with relevant stakeholders from partner agencies and programs in accordance with the proposal and scope of work approved by the Bureau of Justice Assistance.
