THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to provide technical leadership for the Zeta Marketing Platform team. In this role you will lead the design development and implementation of complex systems driving innovation in MarTech and AdTech. This position requires a blend of technical expertise leadership and a collaborative mindset to build the nextgeneration multichannel marketing platform that unifies and unlocks data enabling meaningful business impact.
You will mentor engineers contribute to system design and architecture and collaborate with crossfunctional teams to deliver highquality scalable and maintainable solutions. Your technical vision will help shape the platforms future fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design development and implementation of complex software systems.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and senior engineers.
- Collaborate with Product Managers Designers and Engineers to define product requirements and technical solutions.
- Architect scalable reliable and maintainable systems aligned with business goals.
- Make strategic architectural decisions to ensure longterm success.
- Establish and promote adherence to best practices coding standards and system reliability.
- Work with crossfunctional teams to deliver highquality products and services.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture.
Qualifications
- 10 years of software development experience in designing and implementing scalable systems.
- Advanced level proficiency in multiple programming languages including Python and Java
- Strong knowledge of software design patterns principles and best practices.
- Handson experience with cloud platforms like AWS GCP or Azure.
- Deep understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL) observability tools and DevOps practices (CI/CD Infrastructure as Code).
- Expertise in building lowlatency highthroughput streaming pipelines and scalable architecture.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Production experience designing and developing with streaming frameworks like Kafka Spark
- Experience integrating LLMs and Analytical LLMs into data platforms.
- Domain knowledge in Marketing Advertising technology highly preferred
- Familiarity with Federated Query and Data Clean rooms is a plus

COMPENSATION RANGE
The compensation range for this role is $190000.00 $210000.00 depending on location and experience.
