Electrical Systems Engineer
The Electrical Systems Engineer is responsible for designing integrating and validating electrical systems. The role involves handson work with mule builds diagnostics and support for manufacturing and global crossfunctional teams. Ideal candidates have experience in electrical system design offhighway or automotive environments.
Job Description
Apply sound engineering practices to design robust reliable and costeffective vehicle electrical systems.
Collaborate with global crossfunctional teams to design integrate and deliver E/E systems.
Build and support mule vehicle electrical systems including software bringup vehicle diagnostics and V&V (Verification & Validation) testing.
Support manufacturing quality and customer support teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical systems in a production environment.
Contribute to continuous improvement in electrical design standards processes and component selection.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Electrical and Computer Engineering or Automotive Engineering.
4 years of handson experience as an electrical or electronic systems engineer.
4 years of technical experience with electrical and/or embedded systems design.
4 years of product engineering experience with offhighway vehicles automotive or industrial equipment.
4 years of experience using design automation and CAD tools.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with global teams.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 10.
Preferred Skills
Proficiency in Capital Harness and CREO (or similar 3D CAD tools) for schematic capture and harness routing.
Familiarity with CAN communication protocols and diagnostic tools such as CANalyzer CANape UDS and XCP.
Knowledge of vehicle systems including diesel engines hydraulic systems lift systems and xbywire controls.
Experience with network communications such as J1939 CAN LIN SPE and USB.
Understanding of EMC design practices and testing requirements.
Experience working with VCA2 60VDC) vehicle electrical architectures.
Exposure to emerging vehicle technologies such as telematics BEV/HEV electrification and automation systems.
