We are seeking a payroll officer to join our Shared Services team. Reporting to the Accountant you will be responsible for processing the endtoend fortnightly payroll and supporting key financial functions including accounts payable/receivable reconciliations and reporting. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring accurate and timely financial operations that enable our broader mission to support those most in need.
About the role:
Endtoend payroll processing including interpreting and applying our Enterprise Agreement
Employee onboarding terminations promotions and salary adjustments
Superannuation PAYE tax long service leave and other payroll compliance
Calculate Workers Compensation Payments (in conjunction with People and Culture Team)
Financial admin: bank and credit card reconciliations fixed asset register management reporting
Supporting continuous improvement of payroll and finance systems
Collaborating across departments to resolve payroll and financerelated queries
About you:
Tertiary qualification in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience
Experience in payroll processing and strong understanding of payroll compliance superannuation and award interpretation including shifts work various loadings
Proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Office suite
A team player with strong communication attention to detail and problemsolving skills
