Finance Summer Student
SUMMER 2025 TERM 12 weeks)
McMan Youth Family and Community Services Association of Calgary and Area is an organization making a difference in the lives of more than 4100 vulnerable children youth and families annually. We support children youth and families with complex needs that can include mental health issues addictions homelessness poverty and disability by providing them with the services and supports they need to thrive.
McMan is recruiting for a Summer Student to join our Finance team for the 2025 summer months. If you have an interest in accounts payable receivable and nonprofit finances this is the role for you!
This is a Canada Summer Jobs role and is open to youth between 15 and 30 years of age. You must be a Canadian citizen permanent resident or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment and have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Some of the key aspects of this role include:
The Summer Student will be responsible for learning the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable process to assist with account reconciliations and analysis.
Under the direction of the Controller the Summer Student will:
Learn the AP and AR process and assist with related tasks
Provide backup and vacation coverage as needed
Assist with balance sheet account reconciliations
Assist with analysis of operational expenditures
Compile and maintain asset addition listing
Other tasks as required
The successful candidate will have:
At least two years education working towards a Diploma or Degree in Finance
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A great attitude
Ability to pass a Police Vulnerable Sector Check.

Salary Range:$17.00 per hour
