Job Description
Suncoast Hospice a member of Empath Health is currently seeking Care Center Assistant to join our team.
Schedule: 7:00a 5:30p; 410 hour shifts
The Care Center Assistant:
- Provides communication resources and administrative support to the agency Interdisciplinary Teams as well as patients families and other members of the community.
- Performs a variety of administrative clerical duties for team.
Position Requirements:
- Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum 2 years administrative experience in hospice or related field preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills including time management multitasking and prioritizing
- Solid customer service skills
- Ability to build and maintain interpersonal relationships
- Exhibit selfdirection independent judgment discretion and ability to work and collaborate with all team members including volunteers
- Strong computer knowledge in MS Word Excel and Outlook and the capability to learn additional software as needed
- Demonstrated ability to be sensitive to the needs of the staff and Empath Health clientele as well as flexibility within an organized system
- Medical terminology background preferred
