JOB SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Director of Materials Management the Purchasing Agent is responsible for ordering supplies and assisting the Director of Materials Management with daily activities. The position will also assist and provide coverage for Materials Technicians (I & II) and Courier as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Understands and is able to perform the Essential Functions of the Materials Technicians (I & II) to intermittently fills these roles as needed.
Reviews and check for accuracy specification and need and processes all approved orders and requisitions.
Place orders with vendors via phone fax or online entry. Maintains files and source documents
Works with Accounts Payable on invoice discrepancies and report to Director of Materials Management all major or consistent price discrepancies.
Coordinates all product returns with various vendors and the Materials clerk
Performs periodic inventories to check for accuracy of the system in place
Performs other duties as assigned or requested to support the overall needs of the department and in accordance with Curry Health Networks Mission Vision and Shared Values.
