Electrical Testing Technician I
Location: Greenwood Village CO
CLP Engineering (CLPE) is a fullservice electric utility solutions engineering firm with more than twenty years experience in electrical utility system ownership upgrades maintenance and operations through our sister company City Light & Power. CLPE offers a wide range of power system engineering services to investorowned municipal cooperative government industrial and commercial customers.
Were seeking an Electrical Testing Technician to join our Testing Team to perform mid/entry level inspections testing and maintaining electrical power equipment. Will work with electrical equipment such as SF6 & vacuum circuit breakers pad mount transformers/GSU transformers grounding instrument transformers and variance of switches both manual and motor operated.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform mid/entry level testing of High Medium and Low voltage electrical power equipment under supervision.
- Testing on apparatus includes breakers transformers CTs PTs cables and grounding.
- Troubleshoot repair replace and clean equipment and components in a substation.
- Consult manuals schematics wiring diagrams and Engineering Personnel in order to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems and determine optimum equipment functioning.
- Prepare and maintain reports detailing all tests repairs and maintenance performed.
- Knowledge and understanding of practical application of electrical theory and hazards in order to perform the job requirements successfully and safely.

Skills & Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology or related field or military experience preferred.
- Two to four 24 years of relevant industry experience
- Experience with the following:
- Prescence of Voltage Verification
- Contact Resistance
- Insulation Resistance
- Test Equipment Set Up
- Oneline Drawings
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Available to work overtime hours and travel to the field for extended time periods.
- Able to work well both independently and as a contributing team member.
Other Requirements:
- You must be a US Citizen.
- You will be required to obtain Military Base Access Security Clearance.
- A valid drivers license with a record that meets the CLP Fleet Policy.
Travel:
- Minimum of 40 travel.

- Hourly payrate range: $30.00$45.00 based on experience plus eligible to participate in Short Term Incentive Plan.
