Ameristar Perimeter Security USA an ASSA ABLOY branded company is looking for a Skid Builder. This position will operate all pallet manufacturing facility tools and equipment in a safe manner while keeping up with pallet demand.This will be a first shift position from 4:00am to 2:30pm Monday thru Thursday over time as required.
What you will be doing:
Sort and stack pallets according to department requirements.
Cleanup work area during and at the end of each shift.
Cut and stack boards to proper & usage of the metric system and tape to operate Pneumatic Nail Gun Forklift and Hand Tools to routinely lift 30 pounds.
Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
The skills and experience you need:
High School diploma or GED Equivalent.
1 year involved with wood manufacturing processes.
Familiar with a variety of wood building concepts practices and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and react to changing have strong verbal communication to work with others in a team environment.
Positive willingness to learn and participate in a changing environment.
Able to maintain a safe working environment that is conducive to productivity.
Ability to think and react quickly to changing situations and adjust to changing priorities.
Good interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail.
Have basic math and mechanical skills.
Ability to work overtime as needed
