This role is a part of the State Classified Series Electronics Specialist III and provides technicalexpertisein Life Safety Services within the Facilities Operations and Services Division.This role provides technology solutions and support for campus life safety and security systems. This position supports fire alarm systems intrusion and panic alarm systems. The position is responsible for annual inspections of fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA 72 regulations and compliance requirements by the City and County of Denver. Collaborating and maintaining a working relationship with other service departments essential as is coordination with the three institutions housed on campus: the Community College of Denver Metropolitan State University and the University of Colorado Denver.
Experience Only:
Three 3 years of relevant experience in life safety equipment inspection and/or repair for commercial and/or institutional facilities (may include: fire alarms security alarm sprinkler systems and/or fire extinguisher)
Education and Experience:
A combination of related education (may include: engineering; Life Safety; Fire; EMT; Low Voltage; and/or a related) and/or relevant experience (may include; fire alarms security alarm sprinkler systems and/or fire extinguisher) in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to three 3 years.
