Job Description

Job Summary

The Manager Assessment Services is Services is responsible for leadership planning and direction of the Assessment Services offices at the Abbotsford and Chilliwack campuses. The manager understands the vision for UFV and reflects this in the operations of the Assessment Services office responsibilities to provide student support and community partner engagement. They are responsible for continuous process and systems improvement and ensures compliance with test security and integrity. The Manager represents UFV when engaging with community partners to negotiate and secure viable solutions to meet community testing needs. They are responsible for coordinating and administering internal and external testing including placement tests UFVdeferred exams and exams from external institutions and organizations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from a recognized institution.
  • Five 5 years of related work experience in an educational institute. Experience related to testing and assessment preferred. Minimum two years supervisory experience.
  • Proven ability to build manage and provide leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience with databased decision making.
  • Excellent computer skills in MS Office and familiarity with office and testing hardware and software. Ability to train others ensure compliance troubleshoot source and
  • implement new technology
  • Demonstrated understanding of legislation as it relates to testing administration information security and confidentiality of student data.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively effectively and crossfunctionally across levels within the organization.
  • Excellent planning and resourcing skills (e.g. scheduling and space allocation) and ability to prioritize selfmanage and be proactive.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain an annual budget reflecting revenue
    generation and balanced operational expenses.
  • Ability to produce financial reports and performance data statistics to measure
    productivity and goal achievement to determine areas needing cost reduction or
    process improvement
