Do you have experience of managing a team within a busy operational resourcing environment Are you passionate about driving continuous improvement and delivering against organisational service level agreements Do you pride yourself on your exceptional organisational and communication skills If so this role could be for you.

Based within the Colleague Experience team our Onboarding Team Leader role offers the unique opportunity to provide key support to colleagues when they join or leave our organisation. The role gives exposure to a wide range of stakeholders not only within Social Security Scotland but also the wider Scottish Government.

As the Onboarding Team Leader you will work as part of our team to ensure that the preemployment onboarding and offboarding activities for new and leaving colleagues are carried out in line with required guidelines and timescales. The skills and experience you bring will help us to continue to deliver a first class experience to our colleagues.



Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Manage the endtoend colleague experience from preemployment to onboarding and offboarding
  • Line manage the team responsible for processing candidates through their preemployment checks then adding them onto our payroll system
  • Support managers to navigate the Oracle HR system to ensure that payroll onboarding and offboarding activities are carried out correctly
  • Interpret legal and Civil Service guidance to ensure all candidates are onboarded in line with Baseline Personnel Security Standards
  • Manage complex candidate colleague and stakeholder enquiries
  • Manage the workplace adjustment process for new colleagues acting as an escalation point for candidates with complex adjustment needs
  • Manage sensitive candidate and colleague information in line with GDPR
  • Analyse candidate feedback to identify trends or suggestions to further improve the delivery of our services
  • Identify risks resolving where appropriate or escalating to the onboarding leadership team
  • Support the delivery of candidate or colleague information sessions which may have up to 100 attendees.

Experience:
Experience of managing a team within an operational resourcing environment
Working knowledge of the Oracle HR system to support the candidate / colleague journey

Working pattern
Our standard hours are 35 hours per week and we offer a range of flexible working options depending on the needs of the role. We embrace a hybrid working style where all colleagues will spend time in either our Glasgow or Dundee offices. There is an expectation of a minimum 2 days per week in your assigned location which will be either Glasgow or you have specific questions about the role you are applying for please contact us.
