Overnight Waste Hauler

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Schedule: evening start 7pm to 9pm) with 10 to 12 hour shifts Monday through Friday

Compensation: up to $30/hr starting Teamster Union Benefits Package

Location: 16207 Meridian Ave E Puyallup

Position Overview:

As an Overnight Waste Hauler your primary responsibilities will be to transport various types of liquid wastes from our temporary holding tanks to various disposal facilities to be processed. You will play a vital role in ensuring safe and efficient waste transportation while adhering to all DOT requirements and maintaining strong customer service.

Essential Functions

• Safely operate waste transport vehicles ensuring compliance with all DOT regulations and requirements
• Transport different types of liquid wastes from temporary holding tanks to designated disposal facilities
• Maintain strong customer service skills when interacting with clients and addressing their needs
• Complete all required documentation accurately and in compliance with company procedures
• Adhere to proper waste disposal protocols and follow company guidelines for waste handling
• Perform basic computer tasks as required
• Perform pumping and cleaning of septic tanks and grease traps as directed troubleshooting and repairing septic systems when necessary
• Assist in locating and digging up tanks when required; this physically demanding aspect is integral to the role
• Take on miscellaneous jobrelated duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Basic computer skills

Education and Experience

• Valid CDL Class A (Required)
• Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience
• Tanker endorsement before day 1 of employment (Required)
• Clean driving record

Working Environment:

Physically fit and able to handle the demands of the job including:

• heavy lifting or carrying
• bending
• heavy driving
• Willingness to work overnight shifts and participate in oncall rotation
