Job Description
Job Summary
Performs laboratory analysis on received specimens providing clinical information for diagnosis treatment and prevention of diseases. Responsible for overall quality efficiency and safety in the performance of assigned technical duties.
Education Training and Experience
Must be a High School or GED Diploma Graduate. Baccalaureate degree from accredited college or university to include minimum of 30 quarter hours of lecture science including at least 15 quarter hours of chemistry 10 quarter hours of biology and 5 quarter hours of math.
Other Job Requirements Licenses Certifications
Registration as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MT MLS CLT CLS) by the Board of Registry as ASCP AMT AAB (AAB with NCA HHS certification or equivalent. If registry eligible all newly hired technical staff must pass an approved certification exam within twelve 12 months of placement in this occupational classification.
