Job Description

Carecruiz Homecare Agency LLC is a nonmedical homecare agency and a nonemergency medical transportation company based at 87 Stambaugh Avenue Sharon PA 16146. As a nonemergency medical transportation company we specialize in wheelchair and ambulatory transport from hospitals and other medical facilities.

Our goal is to provide the highest quality of care to medical patients in need of NonEmergency Medical Transportation to ensure that our patients get to their destinations safely and on time.

NEMT DISPATCHER JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

  • Coordinate and dispatch transportation services for nonemergency medical patients.
  • Communicate with drivers patients and healthcare facilities effectively.
  • Plan routes monitor driver locations and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Maintain accurate records provide excellent customer service and ensure all trip payments are collected.
  • Organizational Relationship:
  • Reports to the Agency Director
  • Risk Of Occupational Exposure To Blood Borne Pathogens: C: no exposure

Qualifications:

  • High School graduate.
  • At least one year working experience prefer in nonemergency medical transportation or transportation services setting.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must have criminal background check.

Requirements:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients drivers and healthcare facilities.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks manage multiple schedules and maintain accurate records.
  • ProblemSolving Skills: Ability to think critically and provide solutions to unexpected issues.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy and attention to detail when scheduling dispatching and recordkeeping.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in dispatch software GPS tracking systems and other relevant technology. Key Responsibilities:
  • Scheduling and Dispatching: Coordinate and schedule transportation for nonemergency medical patients/passengers/members ensuring timely pickups and dropoffs.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with drivers patients and healthcare facilities to confirm schedules addresses and special requirements.
  • Route Planning: Plan and optimize routes for drivers to ensure efficient transportation and minimize delays.
  • Realtime Monitoring: Monitor driver locations and vehicle status in realtime to ensure smooth operations and address any issues promptly.
  • ProblemSolving: Troubleshoot issues such as delays or cancellations and provide alternative solutions to ensure patient satisfaction. RecordKeeping: Maintain accurate records of trips including patient information pickup and dropoff times and any issues that arise.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patients drivers and healthcare facilities addressing their concerns and queries in a professional manner.

  • Work Environment:
    • Call Center or Office Setting: Typically works in a fastpaced call center or office environment.
    • Shift Work: May be required to work varying shifts including evenings weekends or holidays
    • Submits written time requests 2 weeks or more in advance of planned time off.
    • Perform other duties as reasonable assigned

  • Additional Responsibility:
    • Willing to drive passengers as needed providing transportation support beyond dispatch duties.

  • Soft Skills:
    • Compassion: Ability to empathize with patients and provide supportive service.
    • Flexibility: Adaptability to changing schedules patient needs and unexpected issues.
    • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with drivers healthcare facilities and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
    • Ability to manage stressful situations

  • Functional Abilities:
    • Visual Ability: Read 12point or larger type.
    • Communication Skills: Effective speaking and hearing (with amplification if needed).
    • Language Skills: Read write and maintain simple records in English.
    • Technical Skills: Computer literacy or willingness to learn.
