We are looking for an experienced Chef to manage our canteen in a global manufacturing setting preparing and serving breakfast morning tea and lunch for up to 150 staff daily along with handling adhoc functions for Site Catering client invoicing and management of Compass Group Brand Standards.
THE POSITION
- Oversee and lead the daily preparation of meals for Onsite Team including breakfast morning tea lunch.
- Manage the kitchen operations ensuring high standards of food quality safety and hygiene.
- Coordinate with 2 team members to ensure efficient service and timely delivery of meals.
- Cater to adhoc functions as required by the business.
- Maintain inventory and manage supplies to ensure costeffective operations minimising Food Wastage.
- Ensuring accurate implementation of allergy awareness controls
- Maintaining a high standard of food hygiene safety and cleanliness in line with industry regulations and best practices
- Controlling and preparing administrative documents such as client invoicing for functions and catering weekly.
THE PERSON
- Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- National Police Check
- Proven bulk cooking experience or experience in a similar smallscale kitchen environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- A handson approach and the ability to thrive in a busy highdemand environment.
- Ability to work within a budget while maintaining food quality and service standards.
- Knowledge and experience in allergy awareness and food safety protocols.
