ABOUT THE TEAM
Technology is at the core of what we do. Basis Technologies DSP Backend Engineering team designs and develops new features and integrations for Basis our industryleading comprehensive software solution. Our platform processes over 350 billion events per day and uses AI and machine learning to automate and simplify the entire digital campaign process.
This team is all about scalability. We process massive amounts of data at high speeds and work closely with Data Engineering Data Science and Business Intelligence teams to solve problems and create insights that benefit the industry as a whole.
WAYS YOULL CONTRIBUTE
In this role you will be responsible for building out products that serve our customers while making changes on the backend to support our continued growth. Core functions include writing code and brainstorming clever ways to improve Basis highly scalable realtime bidding (RTB) platform which processes more than 350 billion auctions each within milliseconds every day. Other ways you will contribute to the team include:
Design and implement readable testable and sustainable software for new product features
Brainstorm document and propose ideas to support constant improvements to the platform
Architect horizontally scalable solutions to support the highvolume lowlatency demands of the DSP
Find performance bottlenecks using Java profiling/monitoring tools and apply architectural/software changes and GCtuning optimizations to address them
Collaborate with and coach team members on best practices code reviews and process improvements
Partner closely with AdTech experts to iteratively turn highlevel requirements into technical deliverables
Demonstrate troubleshooting and critical thinking skills to resolve production issues
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
5 years of software development experience
Excellent knowledge of Java and objectoriented design patterns
Experience working with horizontally scalable systems
Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases
Familiar with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with all phases of the software development life cycle
Comfortable collaborating with others in an agile team environment
Passion for highquality software design and best practices

Our salary ranges are determined by role level and location. Individual salary is determined by work location and additional factors including jobrelated skills experience and relevant education or training.
