Job Description

General Summary of Position:

This being a promotional opportunity only current UML Employees within the same Bargaining unit are eligible to apply for this position.

The Manager(s) of Admissions Operations reports to the Associate Dean of Enrollment and Director of Undergraduate Admissions and is responsible for training and managing operations staff. Responsibilities include overseeing traditional admissions processing responsibilities that will enhance efforts of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Primary responsibilities include managing and processing prospective student information inquiry cards applications transcripts test scores and other materials related to the admissions process to ensure integrity of all student data provided. Staff member will be responsible for assisting in the processing of over 15000 applications received annually. Managers will manage specific aspects of operations that will be assigned according to previous experience and office needs.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Bachelors Degree with over 5 years of experience in an higher education setting and supervision experience.
  • Working knowledge of Slate Document Imaging PeopleSoft Salesforce Microsoft Office applications such as Word Excel Outlook etc.
  • Experience evaluating applications using Slate. Understands university and state residency policies.

Additional Considerations:

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills in order to establish a positive rapport with students faculty staff guidance counselors and parents.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work evening and weekend hours as needed
