Tampa FL Filling industrialCleaning and Sanitization:
Sweep mop vacuum and scrub floors in all designated areas.
Clean and sanitize restrooms including toilets sinks and showers.
Empty trash and recycling receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
Clean and disinfect break rooms cafeterias and lunch areas.
Wipe down and sanitize surfaces including desks tables doorknobs and handrails. Clean windows mirrors and glass surfaces.
Clean production areas removing debris spills and other materials as needed.
Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers vacuums and pressure washers.
Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures.
Maintenance and Upkeep:
Restock supplies in restrooms break rooms and other designated areas.
Report any maintenance issues such as leaks broken fixtures or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
Ensure that cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify Plant Manager when supplies are low.
Perform minor maintenance tasks as assigned.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).1
Use cleaning chemicals and supplies according to manufacturer instructions and safety data sheets (SDS).
Report any safety hazards or concerns to the supervisor immediately.
Follow all plant specific regulations.
General Duties:
Assist with setting up and cleaning up for meetings and events.
Respond to cleaning requests and emergencies as needed.
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with employees and visitors. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous custodial or cleaning experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is a plus.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals equipment and procedures.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
Understanding of safety procedures and the proper use of PPE.
Ability to read and understand SDS sheets.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand walk bend stoop and reach for extended periods.
Ability to work in various environmental conditions including exposure to dust fumes and chemicals.
Ability to handle cleaning chemicals.
