Job Description Summary

Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Impacts approaches projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality efficiency and effectiveness of own team. Has significant input into priorities. Guided by professional practices and policies that are shaped by the role. The role has moderate autonomy requiring high levels of operational judgment.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the detailed plant production schedule for all units that our in WIP. Ensure each cells are on track to committed production dates/targets. Look at labor constraints that will be occurring in the future and work with the cell to solve the concern.
  • Work daily with cell leaders to proactivity find and solve potential bottle necks in the production schedule. Communicate to site leadership team with any date changes and help needed to solve potential roadblocks.
  • Create and maintain plant daily schedule for all new unit production orders in process for the site.
  • Track feeder cells to ensure parts are produced in a timely manner to insure they do not delay upstream production cells.
  • Use lean tools to work on lead time reduction projects that will help improve schedule attainment and WIP reduction.
  • Lead the ontime delivery metric for the factory. Work on projects and tools to help improve delivery to our customers.
  • Manage master planning material processes and systems prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs. Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements.
  • Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
  • Has indepth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
  • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management manufacturing technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.

Required Qualifications

  • For roles outside of the USA This role requires significant experience in the Manufacturing & Materials Planning and . Knowledge level is comparable to a Masters degree from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • For roles in USA Masters degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s).

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document plan market and execute programs. Established project management skills.
  • Previous manufacturing schedule experience with a scheduling background
  • 2 years of leadership experience
  • 4 year degree with 5 years of mfg experience

Pay Transparency:

For U.S. based candidates only for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements the base pay range for this position is 103100..00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set. This position is also eligible for 15 annual performance incentive.
