Job Description

Position Summary:

Compliance Audit Manager is responsible for overseeing and reviewing payroll audits for employee benefit plans. A manager must be able to take the lead on managing and coordinating audits for clients. Strong leadership skills with staff compliance administrative staff and clients.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES

  • Work with clients and attorneys
  • Work with auditors on audit back log and to prioritize audits according to the needs of clients
  • Understand client deadlines
  • Status reports to clients and management
  • Coordinate desk audits
  • Database management
  • Work with attorneys and fund administrators on resolving known issues with an employers compliance to contract language
  • Reviewing staff work and making revisions and audit notes
  • Manage large and difficult audits
  • Conduct planning meetings with staff before they enter the field/assist while in the field
  • Request information as needed from client representatives
  • Work closely with Compliance Managers and Principal

Travel:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree preferably in a businessrelated field.
  • 3 years of experience auditing payroll.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access
  • Experience with Microsoft Access.
  • Experience with or knowledge of collective bargaining agreements.
  • Experience with or knowledge of payroll systems.
  • Experience with Practice Management reports.
