The Role
Protos vision is to contribute to the health of the bitcoin network by decentralizing both the supply of mining hardware and the distribution of hashrate. As a Senior Software Engineer you will be a technical leader in realizing this vision through architecting and leading the development of our core mining infrastructure platform.

You Will
- Architect and lead missioncritical mining infrastructure systems
- Design scalable APIs and protocols for bitcoin miners
- Establish engineering standards and drive technical decisions
- Lead architecture for realtime monitoring and control systems
- Design and implement responsive web interfaces for mining operations
- Optimize frontend performance and user experience
- Create intuitive dashboards and control panels
- Develop integration frameworks for mining hardware and tools
- Mentor engineers and provide crossteam technical leadership
- Define mining system interfaces with hardware teams
- Drive technical planning for major platform initiatives
- Lead architecture reviews and technical deep dives
- Shape technical strategy with leadership
- Review external contributions while maintaining quality
- Balance security considerations with transparency
- Guide effective AI tool usage for development
You Have
- 8 years professional software development experience
- Expert knowledge in Go Typescript or equivalent languages
- Strong proficiency in modern frontend technologies (React or Svelte)
- Experience with responsive design and progressive web applications
- Experience with modern frontend build tools and optimization techniques
- Proven leadership in complex technical initiatives and architecture
- Deep expertise in distributed systems design
- Strong background in API design and realtime system architecture
- Experience building largescale missioncritical infrastructure at scale
- Track record of mentoring and developing engineers
- Experience designing transactional and analytical databases
- System design skills focused on scalability reliability and performance
- Experience implementing secure authentication systems at scale
- Ability to drive technical excellence in fastpaced environments
- Open source project contribution or maintenance experience
- Strong technical documentation and community engagement skills
- Understanding of open source security best practices
- Track record of building inclusive technical communities
- Proficiency integrating AI tools into development workflows
- Familiarity with bitcoin mining hardware and protocols (preferred)
