Details:
PTS Advance has an immediate need for IT technical support person in Rodeo California. This is a 6 month contract that could be extended.
Must pass a background and drug test before start of job. Current drivers license required. * Be clean shaven to comply with the refinery safety facial hair policy.

Pay rate $40 hr.
Local Candidates only
40 hrs. a week
10 days PTO
Onsite only/not remote
This position will provide IT technical support to the staff of the refinery and surrounding remote sites. This role will provide troubleshooting management monitoring and hands on support for IT systems in the sites support area (examples include desktops laptops applications phones mobile devices radios switches fiber wired and wireless ethernet).
Duties might include but are not limited to:
* Performing PC builds PC delivery installation and repair of computing equipment
* Install test and repair computer hardware peripherals and software
* Configure and deploy mobile devices to end users (smartphones and tablets)
* Provide mobile device training to end users
* Provide desk side and remote support for computing environments
* Consistently follow standard policies and processes
* Handling technically complex IT support issues
* Track and maintain IT hardware
* Able to actively participate in an afterhours (callout) schedule in support of critical systems and infrastructure
* Assisting where needed with the installation of other IT supported systems
Qualifications required:
* Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent
* 2 or more years of experience in applicable Information Technology discipline
* Valid drivers license
* Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle in the refinery around process equipment
* Excellent customer service
* Compliance with refinery safety requirements including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment when necessary

* Bend stoop or crawl under furniture to connect wiring

* Push/pull equipment on a cart of up to 100 lbs.
* Climb 4 or more flights of stairs to access field hardware
