GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This is an AWEC Fulltime Contract position. This position works with the special education fiscal teams responsibilities examines analyzes and interprets the Federal grants and flowthrough funding for the purpose of advising the division and complying with Federal regulations. Performs fiscal monitoring of subrecipients and other budgetary responsibilities for the Special Education Programs Division.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function that may be performed in the job level.- Helps manage the divisions Federal and State Special Education program budgets.
- Helps manage the granting process for the Special Education Programs Division.
- Helps manage the fiscal monitoring responsibilities for WDE as mandated in the Individuals with Disabilities Education ACT IDEA.
- Helps manage other special education responsibilities for WDE as mandated in the IDEA.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE:- Budget program/grant/project management best practices and policies.
- Education principles as they relate to fiscal responsibility.
- Knowledge of both state and federal laws related to special education and an understanding of best fiscal practices.
- The ability to apply regulations rules and disability specific knowledge in serving local state private and Federal agencies in order to access resources for customers; provide highquality technical assistance and provide professional development opportunities.

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:- Typically the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however there may be some walking standing bending carrying light items driving an automobile etc.
