Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Investments Analyst Summer Intern who is passionate about pursuing a career in the EB5 industry and/or private equity commercial real estate. This opportunity provides handson exposure to the investment process financial modeling and asset management. As an intern you will work closely with our investments team gaining experience in underwriting market research and transaction as well as enhance your financial analysis skills and develop an understanding of private equity operations.
Responsibilities
Assist in underwriting potential real estate investments by building detailed financial models in Excel.
Conduct market research and analyze macroeconomic trends impacting real estate investments.
Support the due diligence process by analyzing financial statements property performance and market trends.
Prepare investment memos presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Support asset management by tracking financial performance and identifying valueadd opportunities.
Work on adhoc projects related to portfolio management leasing analysis and debt financing.

Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance Real Estate Business Administration Economics or a related field.
Strong interest in EB5 and/or commercial real estate investments.
Excellent analytical problemsolving and financial modeling skills.
Familiarity with commercial real estate valuation methodologies (DCF cap rates comps).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Selfmotivated detailoriented and eager to learn in a fastpaced environment.

Optional: A sample financial analysis or investment memo (if applicable).
Communication and Language Skills. Strong writing skills (standard professional English) are required in this role. Fluency in one or more additional languages especially Mandarin Korean Spanish or Portuguese is highly desired but not required.
Work Authorization. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency with work authorization is required. Civitas is unable to sponsor H1B or other visas.
Background Check. This position involves handling sensitive and confidential information. Prior to the start date and at any time during employment with the Firm the Firm may perform a background check. Candidates will be required to grant the Firm written permission to conduct such checks as a condition of employment.
Confidentiality. Successful candidate will be required to enter into an employment agreement with the Firm which agreement shall include provisions related to confidentiality and nondisclosure of certain information.
Compensation. This is a paid internship.
