Fills cryogenic liquids and pure nonflammable industrial gases according to Airgas Fill Plant Standard Operating Procedures.JOB DUTIES AND INFORMATION
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday Friday 5:00 am to 1:30 pm or 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Operates a forklift to move pallets of cylinders as well as load and unload pallets of cylinders on and off trucks.
Will pull loads do daily inventory and sort cylinders.
Sets pressure gauge to specified reading and watches for indication of full cylinders.
Adjusts valves and observes gauge to fill cylinder to specified pressure.
Observes scale indicator to fill cylinders to specified weight.
ills cylinder to full capacity rolls cylinder onto scale and connects vent line to release excess gas and attain prescribed weight.
Rolls cylinders onto platform or positions cylinders in manifold racks manually or with the aid of material handling equipment.
Tests gas for purity using testing equipment.
Inspects or tests empty cylinders.
Examines exterior of cylinder for surface defects such as dents cracks or burns and deciphers whether or not to quarantine the cylinder for further inspection.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have the ability to become Forklift Certified
Must be able to read and comprehend Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and all other written communication.
