Institute of Metabolism Endocrine and Diabetes is looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join out team. The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing general endocrine care obesity management ordering lab tests and prescribing medication for adults. Helps with all aspects of patient care including diagnosis treatments and consultations.

- Conduct thorough patient assessments including medical history reviews physical exams and diagnostic evaluations.
- Order interpret and follow up on laboratory and imaging results related to endocrine function.
- Diagnose and manage a variety of endocrine conditions such as diabetes obesity thyroid disease osteoporosis PCOS and metabolic syndrome.
- Develop and implement individualized evidencebased treatment plans in collaboration with patients and interdisciplinary teams.
- Prescribe and manage medications including insulin thyroid hormones and other hormone therapies.
- Provide patient and family education regarding disease management medication adherence nutrition and lifestyle modifications.
- Monitor patient progress through followup visits lab monitoring and communication with other care providers.
- Maintain accurate timely and complete documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations including HIPPA OSHA etc.
- Actively maintaining knowledge of current medical research and trends
Nurse Practitioner Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency with medical instruments and equipment required to perform your work.
- Knowledge of computerbased data management programs and information systems as well as medical records and pointofinterview technology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare workers and collaborate with team members
- Must be able to think critically evaluate various options to treat a condition and then identify the one he or she decides will have the best outcome.
- Maintain a positive attitude in a fastpaced yet friendly environment
- Must be well organized and detailoriented; demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion concerning health service records and information
Education and Experience:
- Board Certified Advanced Practice Nurse licensure required
- Graduate degree from an accredited nursing program such as a Master of Science in nursing
- Must have a current license to practice as a nurse practitioner in the state of practice
- Experience in endocrinology or diabetes a plus.
