Your next career opportunity
As the General Practice Liaison and Placement Coordinator at the University of Melbournes Department of General Practice and Primary Care youll be at the heart of medical education. Youll manage relationships with the Victorian Research and Education Network (VicREN) coordinate GP placements for MD students and oversee essential administrative tasks. This role offers you the chance to shape the primary care component of medical education build strong community partnerships and contribute to the development of future doctors.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate GP Placements: Manage the recruitment of 350 General Practices and allocation of 750 students annually.
  • Build Community Relationships: Maintain and strengthen ties with VicREN and GP supervisors.
  • Oversee Administrative Tasks: Manage student allocations assessment activities and practice incentive payments.
  • Support Educational Activities: Organize workshops maintain learning materials and coordinate CPD activities.

You may be a great fit if:
You are an experienced administrator with strong relationshipbuilding skills excellent organizational abilities and a passion for medical education and primary care.

You may also:

  • Hold a degreelevel qualification with relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrate excellent computer literacy especially in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Have experience in interpreting university policies and procedures.
  • Show a commitment to continuous improvement and attention to detail.
  • Be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
