Job Description

Minimum Qualifications
1 year of experience in disability related services Two years of administrative support experience Experience scheduling appointments for a team with highly complex schedules Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite Adobe Acrobat and Google Docs Experience keeping sensitive information confidential Experience prioritizing a variety of tasks within tight time constraints Knowledge of accommodations available to college or university students Knowledge of accommodation needs specific to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students Basic knowledge of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act the Americans with Disabilities Act and other laws pertaining to disability/accessibility in education Experience with Assistive Technology e.g. TextHelp Read&Write EquatIO Sonocent

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors or graduate degree or related field such as education rehabilitation counseling Knowledge of assistive technology related to accommodations for students with disabilities. American Sign Language ASL conversational fluency We seek creative adaptable staff who enjoy working in a university climate that promotes cultural diversity multicultural understanding and cultural fluency.
