Job Description
Education Requirements:
* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
* Current Minnesota RN licensure.
* Current BLS certification.
* Based upon the unit in which you are applying additional certification(s) may be required. Department specific required qualifications need to be obtained within 6 months of employment.
* Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required or obtained during orientation.

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. When determining individual pay rates we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role the skills education training credentials and experience of the candidate internal equity and organizational needs.
In addition to your salary this position may be eligible for medical dental vision retirement and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night weekend or oncall work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.

Position Summary
Coordinates and provides familycentered nursing care to infants children and adolescents utilizing the nursing process. Accountable for professional practice including independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions performed in collaboration with other health team members.
THIS IS AN MNA CONTRACT POSITION.

Department Overview
Our neonatal program is the largest in the Midwest. We provide the full scope of care for infants needing intensive care. At the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at Childrens Minnesota Minneapolis Campus our interdisciplinary team of over 500 professionals is dedicated to the care of babies with lifechanging diagnoses. We specialize in caring for infants needing level III and level IV intensive care including babies born prematurely or with birth defects congenital heart disease genetic disorders or medical disorders; babies who need extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO); babies needing body cooling and any baby needing surgery. We care for babies requiring complex care such as hemodynamic monitoring critical medication management maintenance of systemic perfusion and management of organ failure. We are part of the Mother Baby Center in Minneapolis at Abbott Northwestern Hospital which includes a large highrisk delivery service a fetal surgery program and a perinatal clinic. The Childrens Minneapolis NICU is a 44bed level III and level IV unit and is supported by a stepdown level II infant care center and special care nursery. Our team balances a highly technical skill set with a familycentered approach. We rely on teamwork with open and respectful communication and promote an environment that encourages learning and professional growth.
