Heres What You Need
- Associates Degree Ultrasound Technology Graduate of accredited Ultrasound Technology program (required) or
- ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers Upon Hire (required)
- 2 years related experience (required)
- OB/GYN experience (preferred)
- Be familiar with standard concepts practices and procedures within field.
- Possesses a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
- Specific to OB/GYN:
- Must have experience doing gynecological and obstetrical sonograms to include the following:
- Normal and abnormal pelvic anatomy
- Fetal anatomy and biophysical profile
- Fetal anomalies including ectopic pregnancies
- Appropriate measurement techniques in transabdominal and endovaginal scanning
- Ability to identify what is expected to be seen in all three trimesters of pregnancy
- Must be comfortable verbally explaining all techniques and views to physician and patient
What You Will Do
- Delivers care to patients utilizing the Ultrasonographer Process
- Performing diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate evaluate and record critical functional pathological and anatomical data.
- Prepares room for examination greets patients and educates patients on procedural information as needed.
- May schedule and coordinate tests.
- Processes and manipulates images analyzes image quality and troubleshoots as needed.
- Properly records test results.
- Operates cares for and maintains equipment.
- Prepares and maintains operational logs and documents malfunction as needed.
- Maintains equipment and room to sanitary standards.
- Stocks and orders supplies as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
