About the Role
As the Director of Hardware Product Management at SimpliSafe you will play a critical leadership role in shaping the future of our hardware portfoliowith a particular focus on delivering superior safety outcomes for our customers through the combination of cuttingedge technologies and our people. Youll own and drive the product strategy and roadmap for all core SimpliSafe devices including our smart cameras base stations sensors and user interfaces.
This is a highimpact senior role that requires deep product management experience in consumer hardware with a strong emphasis on innovative purposebuilt cameras. Youll lead a team of talented product managers work crossfunctionally with engineering design operations and gotomarket teams and ensure that every product decision is grounded in customer insight and business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the longterm vision and product strategy for SimpliSafes hardware platform with an emphasis on cameras and intelligent hardware experiences.
- Lead the development and prioritization of the hardware roadmap across key product categoriescameras sensors base stations keypads and more.
- Partner closely with hardware engineering design operations and software teams to deliver innovative highquality products that delight customers and strengthen our security platform.
- Build mentor and lead a highperforming team of product managers.
- Drive gotomarket readiness in collaboration with marketing sales and customer support.
- Stay ahead of industry and technology trends with deep knowledge of the competitive landscape in connected devices and smart home securityespecially in imaging and camera systems.
- Make datainformed decisions while being comfortable making bold strategic bets when data is ambiguous or incomplete.
Qualifications
- 8 years of product management experience in consumer electronics with significant expertise in camera hardware design imaging systems and video technology.
- 3 years leading and developing teams of product managers.
- Proven track record of successfully launching complex hardware products from concept through scale.
- Bachelors degree in a technical field (Engineering Computer Science or related).
- Strong bias for action a willingness to dive deep when needed to get things done and demonstrated leadership skills to motivate crossfunctional teams.
- Passion for the consumer technology and missiondriven products that improve peoples lives.
- Highly analytical and comfortable working in a fastpaced datadriven environment while applying experience and judgement to make decisions.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levelsfrom technical teams to Csuite executives.
