Job Title: State & Local Tax Manager
Fulltime Role
Responsibilities include managing and delegating Specialty Tax research projects participating in client meetings and tax planning efforts acting as a Specialty Tax / SALT resource for tax preparers/specialists and A&A staff.
The candidate will be responsible for client service communicating important tax developments managing tax audits and tax appeal matters preparing technical memorandum and reports.
The candidate will also participate in the firms practice development efforts and supervise the development and training of senior semisenior and staff accountants.
Qualifications include at least five years of experience in public accounting two years of experience representing clients before taxing authorities and a minimum of one year of experience supervising and directing the work of tax preparers.
Candidate must have a Bachelors degree in accounting a masters degree in taxation preferred CPA or J.D. certification (or working towards certification) demonstrated knowledge of current tax laws and proficiency in Microsoft Office tax preparation tax research and tax planning software programs.
Candidate must have 2 to 5 years of experience associate seniority level no management experience required.
The ideal candidate must have between 2 15 years of International Tax experience working within public accounting.
