The Dentist (BDS and MDS) plays a vital role in enhancing the oral health and hygiene of patients while ensuring the implementation of effective dental care practices within the organization. This position is crucial for diagnosing and treating various dental ailments educating patients on oral hygiene and establishing a trusted environment that promotes oral health awareness. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive oral examinations to assess the patients dental health.
- Diagnose dental conditions and develop effective treatment plans.
- Perform a variety of dental procedures including fillings root canals and extractions.
- Utilize modern dental technologies to improve treatment outcomes.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
- Manage a patient database and maintain detailed and accurate dental records.
- Collaborate with dental assistants hygienists and administrative staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Conduct followup appointments to monitor patients progress and recovery.
- Handle dental emergencies promptly and efficiently.
- Check for oral diseases and abnormalities reporting findings for further evaluation.
- Analyze Xrays and diagnostic tests to inform treatment decisions.
- Stay updated with the latest industry practices technologies and innovations in dentistry.
- Participate in community outreach programs to promote oral health awareness.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the dental practice.
- Attend professional development workshops and continuing education programs.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS).
- Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in a relevant specialty preferred.
- State license to practice dentistry.
- Proven experience in clinical dentistry.
- Strong understanding of dental procedures and techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Experience in managing dental emergencies.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with dental software for patient scheduling and record management.
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
- Knowledge of dental health regulations and compliance standards.
