We are hiring Assistant Director of Nursing for a leading Nursing home in CorkIreland.
Responsibilities
- In the absence of the Director of Nursing will take over the duties and responsibilities of the PersoninCharge in accordance with the Health Act 2007 relevant regulations and HIQA standards.
- Ensure that general hygiene and food safety standards are kept as high as feasible.
- Participate in clinical management inside the home in cooperation with the DON which includes caring for residents communicating with residents/families/representatives managing staff assessing performance and standards formulating policies and procedures and offering training.
- Coordinate the quality and safety system which includes all areas of clinical risk management and resident participation.
- Participate in regular staff coaching and appraisals.
- In consultation with HR participate in grievance and disciplinary activities.
- Coordinate roster and manage employees in collaboration with the senior.
Requirements
- Have at least three years of experience nursing the elderly during the last six years.
- Have at least seven years of postregistration experience.
- Have a thorough understanding of regulatory standards and inspection activity related to residential care facilities.
- Hold a thirdlevel management qualification.
- Can efficiently manage ones own workload while adapting to new demands on short notice.
- Demonstrate an ability to accept change and a commitment to ongoing development and learning within the residential care facility.
- Can influence others form positive relationships and attain goals.
- Promote a quality assurance mindset and culture in the clinical area by developing and establishing benchmarks and KPIs in conjunction with the Director of Nursing.
