Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Rockbridge VA

Position Description
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance activities ensuring equipment reliability and managing a team of maintenance technicians. This role focuses on scheduling preventative maintenance troubleshooting equipment issues and supporting operational efficiency. The Maintenance Supervisor works closely with production teams to minimize the downtime and improve overall equipment performance. In addition to this the Maintenance Supervisor will oversee daily activities of maintenance contractors and construction activities to ensure that schedules are being met.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership:
  • Superviseand coordinate the activities of maintenance technicians to ensure efficient of maintenance tasks.
  • Responsible for the Time Attendance and PTO tracking for the maintenance staff
  • Responsible for the training and active mentoring of the maintenance staff to enhance skills and performance including any discipline & documentation as it relates to behaviors and underperformance
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations company policies and industry standards for all Maintenance employees and the activities they are involved with.

Plant Maintenance Activities:
  • Participate in Daily Tier meetings and adhere to the standard work for supervisors as part of the Lean Management System (LMS).
  • Plan and oversee preventative and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical electrical and operational issues to maintain smooth plant operations.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
  • Support the Site Leadership in executing projects and capital improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelors degree in engineering industrial maintenance or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3 years of experience in maintenance supervision in a manufacturing environment or industrial environment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with CMMS and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Strong leadership problemsolving and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and other safety regulations.
