Communications Device Technician (Comms Tech) Pacoima CA
Job Summary:
TheComms Tech is responsible for delivering exceptional frontline service to all Quixote clients by efficiently managing the preparation transportation and handling of communication equipment productions supplies and services essential for smooth production operations.In addition to providing logistical support these individuals are accountable for overseeing all communication equipment at the Pacoima location ensuring they are maintained inspected and ready for client use.
What Youll Do:
- Loading and Delivery Operations:Safely and efficiently load unload deliver and set up communication equipment for events stages and location services. Ensure that all items are delivered set up broken down and picked up per client specifications and in a timely manner. Perform safe/defensive driving techniques if assisting with client deliveries and/or pickups.
- Equipment Handling and Maintenance: Clean test program frequencies and maintain all equipment to ensure it is in optimal condition. Complete minor repairs when needed and identify any equipment issues that require additional attention. Maintain a clean and organized workspace to support efficient operations.
- Client and Location Support: Provide courteous and efficient support for clients on or off location including assisting with equipment checkouts and checkins for both communication equipment and production supplies obtaining contract signatures and setting up equipment for immediate use upon delivery. Communicate any special requests or changes to the management team to ensure seamless service.
- Inventory and Yard Operations: Assist with inventory counts stock checks and quality assessments. Ensure equipment is organized properly stored and ready for distribution.
- Communication equipment Production Supplies and Stage Services: Deliver and retrieve Communication equipment production supplies subrentals and expendables to and from stages and client locations. Handle stage dropoffs and pickups ensuring equipment is correctly placed and secure.
- Additional Responsibilities: Complete all additional tasks as assigned by management which may include assisting with location services miscellaneous setup tasks and supporting stage operations as needed.
What Youll Need:
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Experience operating material handling equipment.
- Must have a valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the companys insurance carrier.
- Ability to effectively communicate with management clients and team members
- Must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime as needed.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to perform all duties in a safe manner and in alignment with Company policies and procedures
- Please note the person selected for this role will be required to undergo a criminal background check motor vehicle report and drug screening.
Physical Functions / Environment
- Work activities will regularly include working outside in inclement weather with exposure to extreme temperatures areas of poor visibility wet and/or humid conditions. Noise level in work environment can be loud and cause sound vibrations. Dust mechanical hazards moving objects hazardous chemicals and operating vehicles will also be present in work environment.

- Heavy work: requires ability to continually lift push and pull 50 pounds of product individually and occasionally more than 100 pounds up to 160 pounds of product in a team lift.
- Physical activities required of this job include but are not limited to: bending carrying climbing crouching feeling finger movement grasping hearing kneeling lifting pulling pushing rapid work speed speaking reaching repetitive motions seeing sitting standing stooping talking twisting walking and walking on irregular surfaces.
