Position Summary:
The Community Liaison serves within Metropolitan State University of Denvers Gina and Frank Day Health Institute (DHI) working with a broad and inclusive student population to prepare them for careers in the mental health workforce. This role collaborates closely with K12 school districts and students to strengthen and expand the pipeline for mental health professionals in schools.
This is a grantfunded position reporting to the Associate Director. The Community Liaison will play a key role in the success of the DoE Im Healthy Health Scholars program by fostering strong relationships between Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSUD) participating high schools and community partners. The position is primarily focused on recruiting and supporting high school students from Title 1 Schools (T1S) who are interested in pursuing careers in school mental health. The Community Liaison will conduct workshops and seminars on Designing Your Life (DYL) in participating high schools providing students with essential information about career pathways in mental health preparing them for higher education and guiding them toward professional opportunities. This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity for an individual with strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills as well as a passion for supporting inclusive and underserved communities.

Salary for Announcement
Under Colorado law MSU Denver is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role and should not offer a salary outside of the range posted in this job announcement. This range takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience skills knowledge abilities education licensure and certifications analysis of internal equity and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.
The salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $49900$24950 0.5 FTE rate) $62400$31200 0.5 FTE rate).The full salary range is $49900$24950 0.5 FTE rate) $74900$37450 0.5 FTE rate).
This position is paid monthly and is eligible for MSU Denver benefits.
