Position Available:Child Care Worker Assistant Full Time 35 hours a week/ 8 Weeks
Location: Thornhill
Start Date: July 7 2025
End Date: August 29 2025
About Family Day:
Family Day Care Services is a nonprofit charitable organization with a long and distinguished history of providing highquality early learning and child care services to children and families throughout Toronto York and Peel Regions. We are a multi service organization with over 500 employees providing a broad range of services including: 29 Child Care Centres 49 Before and After Care programs 204 Licensed Home Child Cares 9 EarlyON programs 2 Homework Plus programs and Special Needs Resourcing for children and their families living in the Greater Toronto Area.
Candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;
- Be a Canadian citizen permanent resident or person to whom refugee protection has beenconferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act*;
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled towork in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation andregulations.
Job Purpose:
Family Day is seeking Child Care Worker Assistant to work collaboratively with our Early Childhood Educators Program Facilitators and Assistant Teachers. The Child Care Worker Assistant will support ageappropriate programs and activities in early learning and development environments for children up to 12 years of age.
Job Duties:
- Support appropriate programs and activities in an Early Learning and Developmentenvironment for children aged 0 to 12 in a group setting.
- Support the Educator with job activities that will include planning developing andimplementing programs that reflect childrens interest and include opportunities for quiet andactive play indoor and outdoor activities and individual as well as group activities.
- Assist the educator in the event that individual program plans may need to be created forchildren with special needs.
