Job Description
Staff Management Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our client in Woodbridge NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.
Schedule:
- 1st Shift: 6AM 2:30PM
- Plus Overtime
- There may be a need to switch shifts depending on business needs.
Pay Rate:
- $25 $28 / hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for our cold storage USDA/FDA/SQF certified pet food manufacturing facility. This role requires handson troubleshooting repair andpreventive maintenance of specialized food processing and packaging machinery in atemperaturecontrolled environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot repair and maintain a variety of production equipment including:
- Grinders highcapacity blenders and bowl choppers
- Protein injectors tumblers and VEMAG stuffers
- Alkar ovens for natural smoking steaming and heat treating
- Blast chillers MAP packaging lines deli slicers and overwrap lines
- Form fill seal packaging machines Xray systems and metal detectors
- Perform HVAC diagnostics and maintenance to ensure cold storage stability.
- Maintain and service forklifts and material handling equipment.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Ensure compliance with all USDA FDA and SQF safety sanitation and maintenance standards.
- Collaborate with operations and QA teams to minimize downtime and ensure food safety.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing or cold storage facility.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with foodgrade machinery and sanitary environments.
- Proficiency in repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Forklift maintenance experience preferred.
- Ability to work in refrigerated environments and follow strict food safety protocols.
