We are looking for a Senior. Infrastructure Engineer / JIRA Administrator for our environments; a mix of servers workstations storage networks and custom hardware for a large Project producing a critical strategic national asset. The skills for this need will include project management workflow configuration and troubleshooting issues within the JIRA platform.
This role requires a deep understanding of JIRAs functionality including project setup workflow configuration user permissions and report generation. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and experienced JIRA Administrator with a proven track record of successfully administering and supporting JIRA instances within a complex software development environment.
What You Will Do
- You will leverage company and industry best practices to configure and maintain the JIRA instance including project creation workflow customization and user permissions.
- You will manage JIRA system access across groups to ensure security compliance and maintain best practices
- You will support the project by applying Agile and Kanban methodologies within JIRA and support the teams project management processes.
- You will customize JIRA workflows configure notifications and implement automation products to optimize processes.
- You will generate reports and dashboards to track project progress analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Information Technology Computer Science Computer Engineering or Physics and 35 years of related work experience
- Thorough background in on premise infrastructure design data center systems
- Experience troubleshooting complex systems involving multiple servers COTS products VMs VDIs and/or network issues
- Experience with RHEL 6.0 infrastructure development implementation and optimization for an enterprise Design
- Current Top Secret / SCI security clearance is required day 1. As only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience in RHEL Platforms and software product implementation
- Understanding of DevOps/DevSecOps developments
- Hands on experience scripting skills (i.e. PowerShell Python Ruby bash etc.
- Experience with the Agile development lifecycle
- Experience with the Atlassian tool suite
- Experience with SAFe agile processes
- Knowledge of Enterprise Application development and deployment processes
- Security certification
- Experience in supporting the Atlassian toolset from a stability and performance perspective.
- JIRA Administrator certifications (e.g. Atlassian Certified JIRA Administrator) is highly desired for this role

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
