The Northeast Health District Babies Cant Wait (BCW) program is seeking a parttime (hourly) Child Health Educator to work with families with children aged birth to three. This position will maintain a caseload and administer developmental evaluations to determine eligibility for the BCW program.

May work some evenings and weekends. Maintains HIPAA and FERPA standards related to Privacy and Security and provides exceptional customer service.


As a Special Instructor within the Babies Cant Wait Program at the Georgia Department of Public Healthyou will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.

Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma/GED and for 4 years of program management experience


OR


Two 2 years of experience required at lower level Education Prgrm Spec 1 (EDP030 or position equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters degree in child development early childhood education early childhood special education special education or other closely related field. Minimum two years of experience providing service to children and families.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in special education and early childhood development


The hourly rate is $35 for candidates with a Bachelors degree and $40 for those with a Masters degree
