Bachelors degree and 2 years of related experiencePreferred Qualifications:
Excellent written and oral communications; ability to edit professional reports communicate professionally with clients and students and prepare marketing content.Experience analyzing complex business challenges in a wide variety of industries.
Ability to apply critical thinking skills to projects that may span multiple industries including education manufacturing technology science agriculture software and also retail nonprofits and startups.
Ability to guide student consultants in researching analyzing synthesizing and executing on client projects.
Project management experience; overseeing multiple projects at one time.
Experience working with student teams; facilitating leadership experiences attending meetings between clients and students and overseeing student team project progress.
Proficiency with software platforms including Microsoft Suite Qualtrics market research databases and Workday.
Past experience with CyBIZ Lab.
Job Description:
The Iowa State University CyBIZ Lab provides the opportunity for crossfunctional teams of undergraduate and graduate students to work on business and organizational projects. Students gain handson experience working to solve real business problems and companies and organizations receive potential solutions to business issues from a perspective outside the company.
CyBIZ Lab services are available to existing businesses and corporations new businesses startups university departments and nonprofit organizations. Consulting and startup projects are feebased and priced according to complexity and timeframe.
The individual in this position will be a selfstarter with business and industry project experience. The successful candidate will apply their business acumen to support the CyBIZ Lab program through student recruitment working with and mentoring student teams reviewing and editing studentcreated surveys and professional reports analyzing data and preparing students for executivelevel board presentations. This individual will be comfortable in the business environment speaking to industry leaders interacting with clients giving public presentations networking with potential partners and processing program metrics.
Level Guidelines
Intermediatelevel position with solid professional and/or technical skills working under general supervision to achieve goals
Applies broad working knowledge of the principles of the field to moderately complex difficult and varied problems and issues
Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action and resolve problems
Responds to a broad range of inquiries and requests
May provide training and/or direction to lowerlevel staff
May lead projects of moderate scope and complexity
Provides guidance to students
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
