The Opportunity

The Center for Space and Atmospheric Research (CSAR) at the EmbryRiddle Aeronautical University Daytona Beach FL campus invites applications for a Research Scientist position in the area of ionospheric physics and insitu instrumentation. The primary function of this position is to support the ongoing ionospheric research in Space and Atmospheric Instrumentation Laboratory.

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

This position requires a Ph.D. in EngineeringPhysics or a related field. The successful candidate should possess experience in the design and use of insitu instruments (preferably electric probes) or programming and data analysis skills in C and Matlab/IDL/Python/Julia.

This is a 1year 100%time appointment with applicable Universitybenefits and a possibility of renewal for additional years contingent uponsatisfactory performance and continued availability of funds. The position allows (and expects! the candidate to increase his or her independence by developing key questions and pursue proposals to appropriate agencies.
