Additional Information

This position may be eligible for partial teleworkwithin the state of conditions will be provided by the supervisor and must adhere to state policy.

This position may be eligible for a statutory $1.00 an hour base pay increase effective July 1 2025 and July 1 2026.

This position is open until filled with frequent screening of applicants. The first screening of candidates will take place on April 21 2025.

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Office of Human Resources.

This position provides operational Human Resources (HR) support and guidance for the focus area of recruitment and onboarding. This position will manage full cycle recruitment and assist hiring managers from creation of job descriptions to posting vacant positions screening interviewing and selecting candidates processing background checks and new hire paperwork. This position will also classify positions and review compensation and contribute to policies procedures record keeping data analysis process improvements training communications and compliance with state and federal laws and regulations and collective bargaining agreements. It serves as a backup for other HR services for Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) worker compensation (WC) administration and may assist with employee relations matters.
